On Wednesday April 29, 2026 the Adjutant has called for a special meeting to

discuss the possible purchase of the building by a private individual who in

return will be leasing the lower level, our current bar area and meeting room,

back to us on a monthly lease.  The meeting will be held at 6:00pm and all members

are invited to attend and see what is being put before the membership. 

The Post building is generally closed at the present time.

Leon Burson Post 395 members will continue

to maintain the charter and carry on the 106

year mission for God & Country, serving the area. 

We are still holding our meetings and continuing the

the Honor Guard for deceased veterans out of the post. 

Options are being investigated to determine the future

location and/or when we can get back to hosting events.

Rifle Squad Memorial Day

Since our charter began Jan 2, 1920 our American Legion Post has been welcoming VETERANS from all branches of our Armed Forces. Today, we continue to welcome all military personnel serving our country. Joining our Post enables you to continue serving your God, Country and Community.  Our mission is to implement the goals, aspirations, dreams, peace and blessings for our country, friends and families embodied in our preamble below.

Post 395 activities include; giving aid and assistance to our local needy Veterans and their families; 

Provide grave side military honors for veterans and other worthy community programs and projects.
